Eighteen-year-old Johnathan Gehret of Versailles is the victim who died in а snowmobile car accident, Darke County Coroner’s office informed. The accident was reported in the evening around 8:45 p.m. This was one of the two snowmobile accidents that occurred on Tuesday evening.
Gehret was driving southbound through a field on a red 1997 Ski Doo. He drove off the east embankment of the North Fork Stillwater River and crashed on to the west embankment. Gehret was pronounced dead on the scene, the Darke County Coroner’s office reported.
The accident was quite harsh, so Ansonia Rescue Squad, the Darke County Sheriff’s Office, Ansonia Police Department, Ansonia Fire Department, and the Rossburg Fire Department had to respond to the scene.
